If you're only vaguely familiar with Belleville, Illinois, you might have heard of pumpkin-picking mecca Eckert's Farm, but right down the road is an equally charming, outdoorsy venue, centered around my favorite produce: wine!
The Weingarten in Belleville was the setting of a fabulous Yoga Buzz event, to which I was invited to set up a jewelry trunk show. Think Adirondack chairs on the banks of a picturesque pond, surrounded by farm fields. A fire pit for chilly fall nights, just steps from a charming old graveyard visible through a splintered wood fence.
The sun was setting behind the newly bare trees as I set up my harvest / Halloween themed collection inside an open tent. What better way to get in the mood for the spookiest of holidays?
Yoga Buzz Founder & Instructor Elle Potter led us through a flow inside the tent. The evening was chillier than expected, so we adapted by using chairs instead of the cold ground!
Yoga Buzz brings the practice of yoga to places where you wouldn't expect to take a yoga class, and often to people who've never set foot in a yoga studio. To me, spreading the love of yoga is the best part - nearly half the room raised their hands when asked if this was their first yoga class.
This yoga practice left everyone feeling quite deserving of a glass of wine, which is exactly what we did. After chatting with a few yogis and selling my favorite Halloween design - the "Mother of Dragons" bracelet inspired by Game of Thrones - we headed up to the main hall for wine & delicious snacks.
New friends shopped my jewelry collection as they sipped, picking up some of fall favorites, like the Iron Pyrite Sugar Skull, Sacral Chakra-Balancing Buddha & Creativity and Balance-inspiring Elephant mala.
